Delete your Ski Path account
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Ski Path is made by Bytefern Ltd. You have a Ski Path account if you signed in to share a trip with friends. You can delete your account, and the data that goes with it, in the app or by emailing us.
If you never signed in, you don't have an account: everything you've saved is on your device, and deleting the app removes it.
Signing in on an iPhone (with Apple) and on an Android phone (with Google) makes two separate accounts. If you have both, delete each one.
Delete your account in the app
On iPhone
- Open Ski Path and go to the home screen, where your trips are listed.
- Tap the circle with your initial at the top right to open Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Tap Continue with Apple and confirm it's you.
On Android
- Open Ski Path and go to the home screen, where your trips are listed.
- Tap the circle with your initial at the top right to open Account.
- Tap Delete account.
- Tap Continue with Google and pick the account you signed in with.
Your account and its data are deleted straight away. If you've signed out, sign in again first, with the same Apple ID on iPhone or the same Google account on Android.
Ask us to delete it by email
If you can't use the app, for example because you no longer have your phone, email mail@bytefern.app from the email address you signed in with and ask us to delete your Ski Path account. If you used Apple's Hide My Email on iPhone, tell us the address Apple gave Ski Path: in Settings, tap your name, then Sign in with Apple (under Sign-In & Security on some versions), then Ski Path.
We'll delete your account and its data within 30 days of your request.
What's deleted
- Your account: your sign-in, including the email address Apple shared with us (which may be a private relay address), or your Google account's email address.
- Your profile: the name you show your friends, and your settings.
- Trips you joined: you're taken off them, along with your live position and the places you added. The trips stay for their other members.
- Trips you organise: deleted for everyone on them, with their places, everyone's positions and the invite code.
- Sign in with Apple: when you delete your account in the app, it revokes Ski Path's access to your Apple ID. If you ask us by email, remove Ski Path in Settings, under Sign in with Apple, too.
- Sign in with Google: Ski Path stops using your Google account. To remove it from your Google Account's list of connected apps too, go to myaccount.google.com/connections.
We don't keep backups of this data.
What's kept
- Data on your device: trips you planned alone and your saved routes are stored on your phone (and in its own backups, if you use them), never on our servers. Deleting your account doesn't remove them: delete them in the app, or delete the app.
- Server logs: our hosting providers see your IP address when you connect, and may keep it in their logs for a time.
- Map telemetry: Mapbox, which provides the maps, can collect de-identified usage data that isn't linked to your account, under its own privacy policy.
See our Privacy Policy for everything we collect and why.
